The best and most intellectual speakers I can think of are:

    Oscar De La Hoya
    Big George Forman
    Roy Jones Jr.
    Chris Byrd

Lennox Lewis had a funny mixture of accents, but he was well spoken.

I didn't mention Brewster is because in his interviews he is always thanking God for everything... no that there is anything wrong with it, I think on the opposite props to him for believing in himself and in God, but there is no real thought in his words...

e.g. "I'd like to thank God for giving me this opportunity and of putting me on the right path, giving me the right tools to become a World Heavyweight champion. The God was always there for me and.. blah blah blah"

I mean Brewster is a great guy and I'm sure he speaks well (to a degree of a boxer) but I just can't judge his interview skills

People listened to Tyson too, but the man just can't put an intelligent sentence together, as Toney

But I know what you mean... Ali was something! and is in his own league of trash talking... there will never be an other to match

All I'm saying is that "People listened to him" is not the reason.. Ali was well spoken

Most fighters in public speak and express themselves better than most of BS board members. Obviously the fighters have more pride in their public appearance.

DaVarryl Williamson and Bernard Hopkins speak english (meaning well). DLH speaks very well and speaks better than the average yank...so impressive for a mexican.

Most U.K fighters speak proper english.

Most U.S boxers nowadays speak slang that bad that you would think they never went to school....it is disappointing.

Roy jones is very litterate. He has good inflection and prose when he speaks, probably one of the most articulate champions of all time!
