Tarver would make a very good boxing commentator. He speaks very clearly, he's funny, he's got character, and being a fighter himself is a definite advantage. The only thing that will keep him from that HBO job is his looks. You may sound good but if you don't look right, then you can't be on television, end of story.
You tellin' me that Foreman, Shannon Sharpe, Deion Sanders, etc... have looks(lol)I know what you are getting at but we are talking about boxing not ballroom dancing or figure skating.

Oscar? WTF... make that everybody on your list. ODLH is one manufactured puppet, those words that come out of Hoya's mouth did not originate from his brain, it's the brains behind Team Hoya who do the strategizing and all he has to do is pull out a few "big words" and smile in front of the camera... Ali and Tyson had charisma. You wanna know the fighter who was well spoken and had charisma... Martin Luther King

I never watched the interview on that fight until it was just mentioned now, thank you for that, it was hilarious.

Surprised none of you guys mentioned Jeff Lacy yet. Definitely the most engaging young boxer when it comes to interviews. I give Jermain a lot of credit as well. A stutter problem is something that can't be helped. Beyond that he is a good speaker.

Lamon is definitely the class of the heavyweights in interviews. Comes across as a great guy. Toney is always entertaining, but he's not for everybody.
