oh! here speaks the high and mighty trainer of pacman.
the only reason this **** has won awards or been labelled the trainer is because of pacmans jump in weight, strength etc that has allowed pacman to win a number of catchweight fights.
this is very largely due to alex ariza not roach.
pacman is not a pound for pound king of anything.
maybe a catchweight champion of some description but, nothing more.
all his other fighters have either been beaten or have not faced any significant opposition, and in the case of "king khunt" both apply.
so, when he tells us all to sit up and listen.........DONT.
      the geezers a ****.

A year ago I would have said that Jr. didn´t have a single chance of beating Martínez... but today Sergio looks more vulnerable each time and Jr. exactly the opposite (he just took punches from a 46ko guy like nothing) and has improved his style a lot, Sergio is losing this one.

So then I'm assuming there will be no more excuses about Chavez fighting Sergio then?

Lately the only one giving excuses not to fight has been Martínez (he was demanding extra tests). If you ask Jr and Senior who want to fight, they will Say Sergio, they want Sergio next and they look really really confident. No excuses whatsoever.

"The WBC is allowing Chavez to make an optional defense in June "

Arum has too much influence. Chavez is a coward. There used to be a day when everyone was begging to get a shot at the lineal title and would do anything. Now days you have ABC belt holders (many times a vacant freebie belt) doing everything to avoid fighting the lineal title holder.

Yeah Chavez skips out on the state mandated tests. Cant expect him to agree to additional testing.

I have no interest in this fight to be honest, I am not a Sergio fan really, but I think JCC Jr. is a real joke. They guy has fought what, 46 times and has fought maybe 1, 2 top 10 opponents? He lost to Zbik by the way, that decision was total BS. He also lost to Vanda too in the 1st fight.
Min 20 pounds on sergio? Chavez has been 180/181. Sergio has been 168/170.

closer to 10-12 pounds max difference. Still, if freddy really believed what he was saying, hed actually push for the sergio fight, rather than just talk about it but go along with arum's arranged "optional title defense" and avoid fighting the WBC mandatory in sergio.

Chavez Jr. is fighting in the middleweight division only because he's too much of a p-u-s-s-y to move up in weight where his weight gain and loss routines during training wouldn't be as drastic. He's picking on smaller guys because he KNOWS that he'll get blasted into oblivion by fighters the same size as him. Bute, Froch, Abraham, and Kessler.

Roach is too brain-dead to think clearly, so forgive his idiotic ramblings. If Chavez ever summons the guts to get in the ring with Sergio, he will receive the most comprehensive beating seen in the sport since Holmes-Cobb or Mayweather-Gatti.

Chavez Jr. is heavy-legged, lacks knockout power, is slow for 160 and has absolutely no ring generalship.

Sergio will pot-shot him until the corner mercifully throws in the towel. And Chavez Sr. will be caught by HBO cameras crying like a little b$%@*
