A potential fight between current WBC Middleweight champion Julio Cesar Chavez Jr and Sergio Martinez has not been able to be arranged even though Martinez is next in line to challenge for the title. The WBC is allowing Chavez to make an optional defense in June and will need to negotiate and finalize a deal to fight Martinez for a fight in September.

Martinez knocked Macklin out, which I don't think Chavez Jr. would have even come close to doing. Roach might as well have put his foot up his ass. Martinez would have also knocked Rubio and Zbik out.

On another note, why isn't Chavez Jr. fighting at 168 pounds if he cuts down 20+ pounds to make the middleweight limit? Oh yeah, that's right. He'd get blasted by Abraham, Bute, Kessler, and Froch, fighters who are the same size as him.

Chavez Jr. sucks ass. Get over it.

I really dont think nothing of anything Freddie says. If Sergio was exposed then Chavez should be jumping to fight him. But since Sergio is on a KO streak, they aren't going no where near him. Its a shame because Chavez seems to have a chin. His power is lacking but he makes good fights.
