He's only doing this because he want to have an excuse to stripping Floyd of the WBC Welterweight title. He knows fully well Floyd will not pay for that diamond title.

Maybe having Floyd fight for the WBC Diamond Belt for the Cotto fight is some kinda wink/wink deal that Floyd will fight WBC 154 Champ Canelo Alvarez after Cotto?

I dunno some have said the Diamond Belt does have sanctioning fees while others are saying sanctioning fees do come with the WBC Diamond Belt .. as why else would the WBC get involved, if no money was at stake?
