No it was not. Pac-Margarito was for the regular/original WBC belt. The diamond belt wasn't involved in that fight.

And, no...No one is "hating on the diamond belt" because it involves Floyd. Everyone is pretty much crapping on the belt. Because, it's ******ed. People were "hating on the diamond belt" long before. However, according to the WBC the belt is more of a trophy than a belt. But, you still have to pay sanctioning fee. So go figure...

A good question would be why do fighters like PBF, Cotto, B-Hop, Manny, Marquez still pay sanctioning fees for titles? I say that because they are at the point where they all make the belts the belts don't make them. For any of them to continue to pay fees for the belts IMO is them being robbed without gun cause they don't need the belts and the belts being on the line doesn't make theirs fights bigger.

The WBC Diamond, WBC Silver, WBC champion emeritus and The WBA Super Championship needs to be cut out all together. It dont make sense and its one of the reason Boxing have a bad name

We have to remenber what Mayweather said before the fight with Ortiz, he said that the only belt he care about was the green belt because it represents money...so who konws plus the article says the promoters contacted the worthless WBC for this phony belt and both figthers agree to it.
