What a crock of spit! I don't believe either one of these guys advisers called the WBC to request the opportunity to fight for a useless belt when they are already fighting for a championship belt. If a real boxing journalist followed up on this comment and called Mayweather or Cotto's advisers, they would tell that journalist that they know nothing about this. This is Sulamain's attempt to get a piece of a the sanctioning fee.

The WBC Diamond, WBC Silver, WBC champion emeritus and The WBA Super Championship needs to be cut out all together. It dont make sense and its one of the reason Boxing have a bad name

yup pretty this pretty much sums it up. i though the wba was bad for having 'regular' and 'super' belts but i had forgotten how many belts the wbc has its plain idiotic

Does it make the winner of this fight a WBC worlds champ? are there sanction fees?
In September 2009, the WBC created its new "Diamond Championship" belt. This belt was created as an honorary championship exclusively to award the winner of a historic fight between two high-profile boxers. The inaugural Diamond Belt was awarded on November 14, 2009 to Manny Pacquiao who won his seventh world title (in seven different divisions) via 12th round technical knockout over Miguel Ángel Cotto at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA.

              No sanctioning fee.

More of a trophy than a belt.

Way to go Sulaiman! You managed to make a mockery of a historic sport and all of it's traditions yet again. Where would boxing be without you?
