Anyways, he is less reckless now. He sometimes tries to counter more. Which IMO hurts him. What made him special was relentless, threw caution to the wind and just go for it.
He along with Kirkland their best attribute is going into the ring not giving a fuck.

the pacquiao of 2008 was already a great fighter...whether if he improved or not doesn't really mean negative. having 3 close fights with jmm is not negative either.
now if the purpose of this thread is to try to depict floyd as a better fighter than pac (floyd fanatics does that all the time like their lives depend on it) then that's fine...it's just opinion and doesn't mean *****. the fight still needs to happen to prove who really is the better fighter. unfortunately, it looks like the fight is not happening unless pac agrees to a fixed purse.

Here is what happened:
Roach's game plan was wrong!
Roach tried to get Manny to change and be more of a boxer ..... in essence, Manny had to try and out box a boxer (Marquez). Not an easy task. Check out some of the pre-fight tapes ... you will hear Roach say "Manny will need to fight smarter" .... meaning, be patient and box more and counter Marquez.
Being that this was "Manny's division" and being that Manny was younger, Manny had to be more Manny than ever .... Manny had to pressure Marquez from the get go and make it a brawl.
While it may not have worked 100% and Manny would get countered more often, it would make Marquez work a lot harder, make Marquez more vulnerable as Marquez would be left Open more often ..... and the older Marquez would tire out in the later rounds of a 144lbs fight.
Max Kellerman said something similar last Saturday during the Molina vs Kirkland fight. Kirkland usually attacks from the get go but he was trying to outbox a boxer .... Kellerman basically said what I stated above
