well if it isn't a big role why get Usher~ doesn't that kind of kill that whole part of his career because it won't be people seeing Duran against Ray Leonard it will be real obvious and hard to suspend disbelief.
Seriously are you not going to laugh when you see Usher across from a guy playing a serious role as Duran.
Get an unknown cat atleast I wouldn't laugh during a serious movie~
Wasn't Ray getting blowies from trainers back in his highschool days?
Oh ****... Nvm these guys are made for each other! Sorry I came to the states in '98 Im not in touch with all the little details about these boxers haha.
What the f**k??? This just confirms the fact that the movie is going be terrible. I like De Niro, one of my favorite actors of all-time, but even he can't save this s**t. De Niro and Pacino are in it for Paychecks at this point, the last really good movie De Niro was in was Heat.
De Niro is the GOAT to me, my favorite, but this movie will suck. And Usher playing Ray.....the f**k???
He is not in it for the paycheck, how can you say that.
And De Niro has had other good movies after Heat.
Ronin, Men Of Honor, The Score, Wag The Dog, Jackie Brown, Marvin's Room, Cop Land, Analyze This, Analyze That, Meet The Parents.
I was kinda pissed when I read it but then I thought of Micky and ****ie Ward and how they were portrayed by Mark Wahlberg and Christian Bale. The real life people and their film counterparts never at all looked the same but I didn't really care. But then again, we're talking about one Oscar-nominated actor and an Oscar winner compared to a singer/quasi-actor whose biggest film was Light It up.
Hopefully, the role is like James Toney's in Ali. Just short and sweet.
