A fight with Gatti - Hatton makes sense.

I think Hatton has the ability to steal Gatti's fans which is something Floyd could never do.

Hatton by KO 4 or 5.

        hmm

They can fight, but not at 140. They should do it at a catchweight of 145 or so. Gatti has hell making 140, he just can't do it. He'd be so lifeless Hatton would be his ass. At least at 145 or so Gatti will have some kind of energy and chance to win. His stamina is not going to rival Hatton's but he may have enough bodily strength left to make it a fight.

he could probably do that by fighting Cotto or Mayweather though couldn't he?

Probably PBF will fight his seventh consecutive tune up for another HBO $4.5M before we see him against an opponent with a pulse, so a November 2006 showdown with Hatton could work - if PBF comes down to 140 which he definitely can.
            right on.thats how i see it.hope.

can't blame hatton wanting to fight gatti for some good money.
if he crosses the pond to fight he shouldn't be critisied for acting like american boxers i.e. floyd,zab...

if hattons going to be out for six months i was hopeing him and floyd would start negosiating now for later.

            a hatton/gatti don't interest me.

i'm warming up to this hatton.in interviews i've read, his boxing knowledge is impressive.

What about a fight with Corrales or Castillo? I think a fight against either one would turn into a war and give Hatton alot of US exposure. On the downside, this definitely wouldn't be a tune-up fight, and could put Hatton out on another layoff due to cuts.

yea, i think the downside is too dangerous for the money/exposure for hatton.

a gatti fight for hatton makes sense.

and if hatton/gatti don't happen i'd want to see augustus as a tuneup.and i'm serious. a cotto acouple fights down the road.

If Hatton wants to fight the best, why on earth would he want to fight Gatti?

its not like this is gonna be a long time for ricky to fight. his fight with tszyu was 5 months ago, and his fight before was 6 months prior.

this is like the usual amount of time between hatton fights.
