Its a one dimensional defensive attribute which is only successful because of his physical attributes and the crappy era.

Whatever you feel it is, these guys can't reach him with anything. I refuse to penalize the guy for being too big and knowing how to use that size to his advantage. He rarely gets hit flush. Dimentrenko is about as big as he is- Eddie Chambers found him much more often than he was able to find Wlad.

It works for him and thats fine. My point is though he is average defensively, he doesn't have other skills to fall back on when a decent fighter comes along and can get to him. He doesn't parry, block or slip punches. In other words his defensive capabilities are limited.

As much as I want to give him a 10 for killer instinct, just based on his style, I can't after his last four fights, especially the last two.

Your rankings are ridiculous over all, but I have to say Vitaly ranking a 9 in the "heart" department particularly tales the cake. This is a guy who quit in a fight he couldn't lose on the score cards to a feather fisted heavyweight he outweighed by 40lbs.

Agree to disagree. We don't know what else he has, for sure, because it hasn't been tested. For now, he does all he has to do. I'd rather have a fighter be A+ at leaning back/controlling distance, and not be able to do anything else, than a fighter whose solid at slipping/blocking/parrying but not great at any one aspect.

I was about to tell you these are good threads before you teased me, but I said it anyway good threads. Look at the shots Vitali took from Lewis and against Chisora he hurt his arm and kept fighting, also what's wrong with the other ratings Vitali and Wladimir should be rated very higly
