What happened to respecting the official verdict?
I do respect it. It was a good stoppage. However, it was controversial based on what took place in the fight. Nobody could in their right minds deny that.

Why not? Vitali is still champ at 40. What's to say Lennox couldn't have done the same thing. I need the crystal ball you have.

I'd rather have two fighters fighting at their best to see who is better than two old fighters doing it.

            Ie - Lewis/Tyson
            Mayweather/Pacquiao in 2013
            Morales/Marquez in 2012

These fights do nothing for me. A rematch with a 39 year old Lewis doesn't do anything for me.

I am admittedly just not a big Klitschko fan, neither of them have ever put on what I would consider an inspiring performance. I think MMA has done a lot to pull all of the best big men into a different combat sport. I think the brothers have reigned supreme in the worst decade for HW boxing in my lifetime. I might be biased as an American I suppose, but as everyone has pointed out they both have some pretty bad losses to point to. Wladmir especially... And Lennox beat Vitali on what may have been one of his top 5 worst nights.

I get the point but you can't possibly think Moreales/Marquez is an even fight at their best at this point. That completely contradicts what you were saying about Vitali/Lewis. Marquez is older than Lewis when he faced Vitali man.

What I'm saying is I'd rather have them at their best. Not all fighters and performances are static at a certain age.

                    Let Lennox speak for himself:

"I'm like fine wine, I get better with age."

That being said. The stoppage was 100% a great move. There is also no way a prime vitali can beat even Old Lennox with ONE eye. He was seriously having issues seeing by Round 6 so good stoppage.
Was it annoying Lennox didn't rematch? Of course. But I rather see Lennox fight Wladimir also. I mean to me a Lewis vs Wlad match is always better then Lewis vs Vitali. Wlad is definitely the much more boxing skilled of the 2 brothers.
I agree with some of what you said but Vitali to me seemed a little green in that fight because he didn't use his defense the way he does now. I also think the Vitali that came back better after the Lewis fight was more near his best and would have beaten any version of Lennox. That's just me though and I can respect a different opinion as long as it's reasonable.
