Lewis had better competition and didn't have a brother to share the load.

Where is your link that Lewis avoided a rematch? Was there a rematch clause or something?

Think again kid. That's just the reason he had better opposition, he didn't have to share with anyone.

Nope there was better competition than there is now. I mean Rahman is still a rated #1 by the WBA a decade after getting destoyed by Lewis. Holyfield was still getting title shots a decade after getting outclassed by Lewis. Vitali is a title holder almost a decade after getting TKO'd by old Lewis. Shannon Briggs got a title shot a decade after getting destroyed by Lewis. These old guys were/are still relevant because the HW division is ****e.

edit: Then there is the CW's (Haye, Adamek, Mormeck) that jump to the front of the queue because they are so much better than this generation of fat HW's.

The truth about Lennox vs Vitali
Old,fat out of shape and way past prime the Destroyer decided to end his legendary career by giving it one last go against a giant Ukrainian lummox. Lummox shocked the world as he initially appeared to be winning the fight against the old fading past prime out of shape legend. But the Destroyer managed to land giant right hands that ripped open the entire face of ukraine's hero, as the big clumsy Ukrainian gushed
blood and bones from his open wound. At that point images of a super middleweight fightsuddenly flashed before Destroyer's eyes. Benn vs Mcclellen. And for perhaps the very first time the heart of the career ender softened. 'Stop the fight' he whispered to the ref. 'Stop the fighter before someone get killed' The ref whistled stoppable, thus ending the long journey of perhaps the most ruthless heavyweight champion in the history of the sport. 'I WANTS REMATCH I WANTS REMATCH' sputtered the Ukrainian
Lummox as blood and tissue continue to pour out of his open wound. 'HE WINS THE EVENT HE WINS THE EVENT' yelled Little Lamprey somehow missing the fact that the face of Ukraine's Hero looked like a woman's period. 14,000 sheep bleated in unison showing their disgust that someone didn't die in the ring as The destroyer walked out with his head high, knowing he did the right thing in sparing a life. Yet, as Lennox Lewis walked away
for the very last time he still managed to take one last career with him. The Heavyweight
            DIvision.
This post is trash just like the rest of your hateful slander of the Klitschko's.

Yes. Quitting when injured in a fight = loser. Quitting after winning = winner.

Now it's scalping Vitali. Get real man. this is getting ridiculous.

If that's the case Lennox got knocked into a coma when Rahman and McCall clipped him in their first fights.

Oh, and Paul Williams actually died when he got knocked out by Martinez.

I think it would be great if Lennox Lewis came out of retirement, challenged Wlad Klitschko for all his belts and the Ring title, knocked him out, and then retired again as "World" champ -- having scored stoppage wins over both Klitschkos in his last two ring appearances.

Vitali Klitschko would lose his freaking mind!
