Well, I heard Martinez said the Chavez fight could also happen October in some other interview yesterday. And if Martinez wants an inbetwen fight, it could happen in late July. Doesn't have to be an August. He'll be able to have 3 months in between fights this way. One month of rest and a 2 month training camp.

If you honestly believe that Sergio having an interim in July or August and then likely fight Chavez in September or August. Then more power to you.

Well, I can understand if you think getting Chavez is crazy, but I already acknowledged that. Martinez fought Dzinziruk 3 months after Paul Williams because he came out that fight without a scratch. Martinez was not hurt all for this Macklin fight as well so I see no reason why he can't take a fight again in 3 months. The only problem I see is that Martinez would have to have an extremely light touch in order to not jeopardize the Chavez fight.

I believe it's doable to fight 3 times in this time frame but it isn't smart at all. Fighting 3 world class fighters in a 6 to 7 months time wouldn't be something I would think Sergio would even consider doing. Prospects fight about every three months coming up but Sergio is on the world class level and 37 years old, he's not fighting bums anymore. It takes time to build championship fights and more time need to rest and train for these kind of fights. Just my opinion.

Martinez was cut in that fight and he took a decent beating. And I heard he had an injury some time after so he couldn't take a summer fight. He's old so it takes time to recover from that sort of thing. But he came out without a scratch in this Macklin fight. He has even offered Chavez to fight in July so it sounds to me like he's good to go.

Or he can just not take an interim fight and fight Chavez in September. Whatever.

Sergio puts a hellacious beating on Jr and I think Arum knows this as well as Roach....Sergio is a top 3 or 4 P4P fighter...if those who dictate policy for Jr. thought he could beat Sergio, the fight would've BEEN made!!!....the kid needs a feather in his cap or some kinda win to make him official....a dude in the penthouse of the P4P rankings can do just that....but like I said, they know Jr would get abused
