To be a boxing LEGEND , Legacy is supremely important.

    JR is at a crossroads

His uncle Roger has put him second to SRR

Many of you put him 1st

As Duran, SRL, TH and MMH all fought each other, we look for something similar in this generation:

    JR
    Pac
    Martinez

They all need to fight each other

Since JR "CLAIMS" the throne , he should be the one making the fights, not trying to duck out of fights,

Whats to be afraid of ?

Is JR afraid that his face will look like Macklins in the end ? hahaha

    Lederman is right !!

Mayweather don't want Pac and he shore don't want Martinez, hahahaha

Remember the legacy boys, IF Jr won't fight those two guys he will go down as the biggest ducker in boxing history.

Big boys make the fights, they don't make demands and then when met make more

DOn't think floyd is gonna fight in MSG unless Mayor bloomberg has a tax amnesty day. The taxes in NYC are too high.

Secondly, Serg v May is a clash of styles. It's not really that exciting of a match up if you break down both fighters style. I can honestly say that Floyd would not have to worry about being out worked by Sergio. There were muliple rounds were Sergio threw less than 40 punches per round against Macklin. It makes for an interesting snoose fest.

Lastly, I see Floyd walking down Sergio and controlling the fight with jab (to the body and to the head). Sergio doing a lot of hopping but not a lot of punching. Sergio can move against the Macklins and the Paul Williams' of the world but hes going up against a faster, slicker, and more accurate Floyd Mayweather. I dont see Sergio stopping Floyd with one punch either. You eliminate all the foot stomp punching and Macklin took Sergios punch rather easily. I see Floyd landing right hands at will in this fight. Neither fighter in serious danger. Floyd wins a glorified sparring session. Floyd by UD.
Macklin got knocked down twice and his corner stopped the fight. Sergio is KO's bigger dudes and getting stronger late in the fight and systematically breaking fighters down. I am a fan of Floyd and even I know that he is not going to beat Sergio Martinez easy. I give Martinez a good shot at beating Floyd at 154. Martinez is good under pressure and adversity.

Floyd needs Sergio as he can then boast he has fought someone as good as his father did in SRL. If he dont fight Sergio his father will be remembered as braver in the ring than Floyd, which must be embarassing for floyd considering the accolades Floyd has got in boxing.

I know Serg knocked Macklin down twice but a lot of that was due to fatigue. I dont see Floyd fading late in the fight. Im not saying it's impossible for Serg to pull off an upset (and it would be an upset) but I just dont think it's likely. Serg's arsenal consists mainly of a jab straight left. I didnt see any right or left hooks. I didnt see many punches to the body. And Macklin was giving him all he could handle for the first 3/4's of the fight. On top of that Macklin was landing nice body shots, jabs, and straight right hands. I dont think Serg has the artilery to beat a complete fighter like Floyd. Fan or no fan I just dont see it happening.

I've watched the fight 3 times now and I've watched sergios last couple of fights. At first I was the first to that sergio would be the hardest to beat, but now I don't no. I think floyd would school sergio. Floyd would be able to dictate the fight and fight at his own pace. Nobody beats floyd at his own pace. Serg doesnt throw a lot of combos and fights with his hands down, witch wouldn't be good against floyd! Though I do give serg more of a punchers chance than pac!

Make it happen at 154 or 160. I don't care.

i guess it's free to dream right? especially with some pot and crack, those dreams can be vivid. keep on dreaming.. but when you wake up, you then realize that Floyd will not risk his a$$ fighting a guy like Martinez, unless Martinez does another "Ortiz".

I doubt Floyd will fight outside of Vegas, even though I have no problem with that. Mayweather vs. Martinez at 154 or any weight above 154 for the Lineal MW title would be cool with me.
