Floyd won't fight Martinez in a million year, he will make excuses as usual and he would end up fighting Canelo, if Floyd beats Cotto and if the media starts putting pressure on him to fight Martinez he will do one of two things fight canelo and claim that a canelo fight makes more sense finacially or he will drop back to WW claiming that he didn't feel comfortable fighting at JMW, he will duck Martinez and PAC like the plague, he knows that those are the only two fighters that can take away his precious "0" that he dreams to still have when he retires, Mayweather makes me sick how can anybody be a fan of somebody who won't fight the best competition out there and who depends on using dirty tactics to win fights elbows and cheap shots.

Reality will tell us that After His fight with Cotto, Mayweather Jr still has a lot of problems to settle, before he can entertain fighting again.
He still got a lot of pending Court cases filed against him. Probably next year, when Martinez gonna be 38, maybe just maybe he's gonna fight at year's end of 2013.
But, if he losses to Cotto, then, that's it, its gonna be painful as he go straight to Jail.

I see a lot of Pac and Floyd fans hating on Martinez big time but fact of the matter is that Sergio would give Mayweather many problems and would massacre Manny. Martinez gets hit but he gets up and scores Ko's so Floyd would have to fight a whole other game because he doesn't have the power to put Martinez out and Sergio can adjusts like Floyd can so that fight is intriguing. Sergio Martinez is the only guy I can see possibly beating Mayweather (don't care what Floyd fans say). Pac is too lil and defenseless to deal any kind of damage to Martinez. Pac chopped Margarito down but Sergio ain't going to stand there with his chin out and hands down. Stylistically Pac wouldn't stand a chance. He didn't even want to fight Cotto at 154 after he beat him bad prior. Martinez is stopping fighters and knocking them down and if he caught Floyd with a accurate punch like Mosley did, I can see Floyd hitting the canvas. Even Mayweather said Martinez has a solid fighting style. All the hate on Martinez is ridiculous considering he is KO'n his opponents one after the other.Last edited by GRUSTLER; 03-19-2012, 07:16 AM.

Naah, Sergio is a little too big and quick and strong for Floyd to handle at anywhere above 154 the end of the day, and Floyd knows this. Saying the fight could take place at 157 is nothing more than crazy old man talk, rubbish, Floyd could never weigh 157 or 154 without some serious compromise of speed, flexibility, endurance.. but I'm with Larry Merchant on this one, why don't Sergio step up and fight Ward or Chavez for that matter first then challenge Floyd or Pac, that would really make him p4p but at least step up first Floyd nor Pacquiao have anything to prove by beating Martinez now, these are two former Featherweights who have both won titles at MW already...Last edited by Realizniguhnit; 03-19-2012, 07:25 AM.

Don't think this fight will happen but if mayweather moves up to MW & defeats Martinez that would be epic. Would love to see him try

It's the same **** all the time. First it was Paul will and now it's Sergio. 2 overrated fighters with terrible technique.
