Martinez is 5'9; Margarito is 5'10. Why can't Pac fight Sergio?

I think he'll hit him a lot and not take much back. I think that's the case for anyone he fights right now between 147 and 154.

Martinez has quick feet, good speed, power etc but his defense is dead average and he's there to be hit and not hard to find and he's not that good a counter puncher either.

Martinez would post an issue here and there and it would be competitive but once he makes the right adjustments he can and would IMO win the fight.

Kelly Pavlik made adjustments to Pavlik in the mid rounds of their fight and was beating him to the punch well and winning those rounds well this is Kelly Pavlik we're talking about. Martinez only really fights one way and he clearly struggles when people box with him even if they aren't good boxers at all I.e Macklin and Pavlik.

I won't disagree that it's a tough fight for Mayweather and a risky one he could well lose but saying Martinez is Mayweather's kryptonite is just wrong IMO he's nothing of the sort.

Okay, fair enough. But you also need to take into consideration that even though those guys that Martinez fought were nowhere near the elite level of Floyd fundamentally wise, but they did match Martinez's size and hurt him with their punches as well. I know Floyd is underrated when it comes to punching effectiveness, but i still doubt he can hurt a full-fledged middleweight.

For the same reason He won't fight Mayweather. He would loose if He fights either man.

Simple, both guys have equal or better speed and timing and have better skills than Pacquiao. Style make fights and both counter punchers would have a feast against a fast but one dimensional Pacquiao.
Both are venom to Manny's style.

pac has gone up as much as he can i don't see why he should go up any higher tbh - if martinez wants to prove himself p 4 p let him unify his division and move up. fighting guys that are smaller than u proves nothing

You kind of lost me for a minute there. I thought that you were alluding that Martinez would lose to both Floyd and Manny, then i look at the thread's title again to make sure who you're referring to.

If they fight, it shouldn't in no way, shape or form even be at 150, it should be at 154.

But the fact that Team Pac toy'd with Sergio and asked him to come down to 150 then 147 speaks great amounts about Team Pac's ethical credibility.

That's why I literally laugh out loud when I hear Pac fans say "Pac is doing Bradley a favor by fighting him at 147", as if Team Pac has ever had their opponents best interest on the scales before fights.

If Floyd fights him, he wouldnt be fighting a middle weight... it would be at 154

agreed.... no pass because he even stated he fights fighters at their best weight...

this would have to be at least at 154. Sergio moves down a division, Floyd moves up a division...
