Martinez is 5'9; Margarito is 5'10. Why can't Pac fight Sergio?

I don't think he can beat Martinez at 154. Pac is a small dude. Pac is a legit WW now but a small WW. Not only with the weight but the height the reach. Dude is just small. Not because I think Martinez is better than Pac. I'm sorry Pac is on another level compare to Martinez. But, I do think Martinez is better than Margarito and with that size I don't see Pac winning.
He can move up. If he does great? But, why should he? Should it be demanded for him to do so? Obviously he feels WW his limit. And, he felt that before all these Johnny Comelately fans were riding Martinez ****.
Just like I think Martinez limit is 160. That's his limit. I don't think he can go up higher and be successful. So I wouldn't demand or ask Martinez to do such a move. I think Floyd limit is 154. I won't demand or ask Floyd if to go to 160.
I'm not against any of it though. If Pac decides to grow his balls and fight Sergio at 154 or even by some miracle 160. I would be proud and root for him the whole way there. And, great for him. But, would I demand or think he should do it? No. I won't hold it against him if he doesn't. He already went up so many damn weight-classes.
He can move up to 154 and win. IMO.
I don't think Pac is a small WW to be honest I think he's a comfortable WW. He can make 148 or come to the ring at 148 and beat Martinez at 154.
I think he should because it's the best option out there. It's a win that will take him from a Top 40-50 ATG to a Top 25-30 ATG. If I were him I'd be jumping to make that fight.
Oh no I won't be any means hold it against him if he doesn't do it. He's a great fighter and doesn't need that kind of risk at this time in his career.
I just don't see why Pac's fans are others are so against him. To me, it's a winnable fight at the 154 Lb limit and a fight that will enhance his legacy by quite a lot.

Sergio is shorter than Margarito, who Pac had no problem fighting. Pac is walking around at 154. Forget what Team Pac said about 150 lbs, he can make 154.
All he has to do is have Ariza make those special shakes.Last edited by straightleft; 03-18-2012, 12:14 AM.

well mike tyson is 5"10 but he is fighting at heavyweight not becoz his fighting
bigger guys it is becoz of his weight not his height..
well pac is fighting at 147 but he is capable of fighting at 140..
150-154 is not pacs weight.... even sergio is not fighting at 154 or 150.

Margarito is bigger and taller than Sergio regardless if he's never fought at 160 or not.
Again, Margarito's fight night weight from when he fought Manny is bigger than Sergio's at 154.
Manny is the former Junior Middleweight CHAMPION. Are you calling Manny's belt a paper title?

You pac fans prance around, making Pac out to be some greek mythology character, but the minute someone asks him to live up to his myth's, you guys get crazy defensive and try to come to his rescue like you guys fear for his life.
Let the man live up to his legend and accomplish something he's well within grasp of accomplishing.
It makes poster's like you look bad when you get so defensive when someone asks the former Junior middleweight champ to fight a real junior middleweight champ.
You guys like to brag about how cool it is to fight at your walking around weight, well Pac walks around at 154; once again, here's your perfect chance to allow your idol/hero/demi-god to live up to the high expectations you guys place on him everyday.
What's the problem?

You said that Pac can't go to 160 and win. You don't think he can beat Martinez at 160? What is the difference between JMW Martinez and MW Martinez?

To be fair to BoxingGenius, there are alot of Pac fans who claim Pacquaio deserves credit for beating Margarito because of his height. In a recent thread, actually.
Yet, in this thread, height now means nothing? Which one is it?
When someone responds to "Pacquaio deserves credit for beating Margarito because he's bigger" with "So Mayweather deserves credit for beating Baldomir?" it conveniently becomes a thing about height and not weight.
Then when it's switched up to height. It's not not height, but weight.
I'm not saying Mayweather deserves credit for Baldomir because he's bigger than him and the same for Pac's win over Margarito. Just highlighting the double standard/ ****** logic.
I personally don't give credit for either win because Baldomir's not very good and Margarito was shot to pieces. Regardless of the fact both are vastly smaller than their opponent.

This is too much for a guy who started at 106 and will never get a credit from you. You floms are big disgrace to your community.
I have no problem with you pac fans; all I ask is that you be consistent.
Don't say Mayweather can't do A, B and C; then when he does A, B and C, discredit it like you normally do.
Your bolded contradicts what you and you're fellow followers do on an everyday basis, which is inconsistent.
Does this make sense?

I imagine Martinez will be more effective at 160 than he is at 154. Stronger, puncher harder, perhaps. Not sure.
154 just seems like a more logical weight. Both can make the 148-154 limit and it's a winnable fight for either, IMO.
Same goes for Mayweather.
