Martinez is 5'9; Margarito is 5'10. Why can't Pac fight Sergio?

Sergio is shorter than Margarito, who Pac had no problem fighting. Pac is walking around at 154. Forget what Team Pac said about 150 lbs, he can make 154.

All he has to do is have Ariza make those special shakes.
for 1, Martinez is about 5'10, Margarito 5'11. Pacquiao is 5'6 1/2 and a 150 lb fighter. He's a small WW. By him fighting above WW he's giving the public a gift. He has no business fighting above WW, if he lost at 160 what would be the point and what would it prove. Margarito was a big dude but it was a style he could deal with.

I don't believe this. He was chasing after MannyP like crazy for a long while, and was being supported by many Mayweather crazies on this site ho were dying to see MannyP beaten up.

But then there was a backlash and the real boxing people began to accuse him of chasing the dollars too hard and too willing to fight a small overmatched opponent. So eventually after he got the message and saw it was making bad PR, he backed off and said that anyway MannyP was too small. Which was perfectly true, too small and too light.

My feeling is that MannyP wants to finish his great career on his own terms, and not allow himself to be pushed into a damaging very high risk fight which could badly end his career at a time and way quite different to his plans. Quite normal.

Dont forget he's using his career and fame to develop into a politician, which is his main goal.

Martinez is Floyd's and Manny's kryptonite. Those two are going to stay far away from him as possible. Not only because Martinez isn't a draw, but he has enough leverage stylistically to put both of them at a disadvantage.

You insult Mayweather for supposedly doing this same exact thing.

Why such a change in heart?
