It's because they use an automated points system which is always ******.

this is how guys like rahman, stiverne, welliver, barrett, meehan get these high rankings in one organization but not the others.fury was the british & commonwealth champion. the commonwealth belt will give you top 15 in WBC while the EU belt gives a top 10 in the WBC. so when haye gave audley harrison a voluntary title shot he was actually giving a top 10 guy in another organization a title shot.harrison was the defending prizefighter & european champion, & he was top 10 in WBC. if you go by his accolades going into the haye fight he was more worthy of a title shot then sosnowski, kingpin & mormeck.

I don't think a number 5 ranking for Fury is so far off. He does have some good signature wins over decent competition as Joe mentioned and I think he matches up well against some of the other top heavies not named Klitschko. I could see him giving Povetkin, Dimitrenko and even Helenius good fights so I think the top ranking is warranted..

I always enjoy seeing the Americans overrating our fighters more than us.

Because he's the only HW to uppercut himself in the face and not get KTFO.
