Does that mean he can still get a licence anywhere (e.g. Gabon) or does it mean he can't fight in Britain anymore? Or can he still fight anywhere with another licence?

When Danny Williams couldn't get a licence to fight in England any more, he applied to Finland and had some fights either there or from there.

a few things people have forgotten....the reason for the ban, was for his actions before (slapping), during (spitting) and after (brawl). Not just for the brawl alone, he has also been warned twice in the past by the board for his behaviour, this was like a third or 5th strike depending on how you look at it.

SOmeone like haye who has a clean slate would most likely just be warned if he was to ever apply again which he may not do at all since he will fight in germany if he ever does come back

No, they dont need a license, but fights must be sanctioned by the board same as a fight in Las Vegas needs to be sanctioned by the Nevada state commission. You dont need a separate license but the board has the right to decide whether you are eligible to box in their area. So if chisora goes and gets a license in USA he would still need the british boards approval to fight here

Chisora is not British so the board wont have any control over him outside this country.

Pfft ridiculous banning. Yeah he did a few daft things but the board of control should grow a pair.

Hopefully the appeal will at least bring the ban down to a year or something.

Tarzan couldn't settle down Chisora

When you let something like Chisora run ape amok in society as a free man you see the difference in the races. Chisora needs to be controlled and reined in even trained how to live amongst civilized people. If not return Chisora back to the wilds and let him roam.
