It's outrageous, but it's the most interesting HW fight. For this reason it should happen. Haye is a fraud, but he's a good fraud. He got under the Klitschko's skin and they can't forget him. Many people thought the Wlad fight would never happen. Haye is still in the picture, even when Boente strictly denies it.

I don't think Vitali can KO Haye.

He'd go in as the favourite as always because his size advantage is huge, but Haye's got the speed to make it an interesting fight and to avoid many of Vitali's big punches. Wlad is MUCH faster than Vitali and he struggled to land power shots.

Dude he's not even active because he's retired. You would've defended Osama Bin Laden if he was a brit wouldn't you?

Who's defending him? There are simply not 15 better challengers than Gaye in the HW division. There is barely 1. Thats just a fact.

He still has to be unretired and ranked with the organizations sanctioning bodies. This goes without saying man.

There most probably are not more than 4-5 better challengers, but your original comment is peripheral. Haye is retired, secondly if he unretires he'll face reprimands for his recent bottle attack. and most importantly Haye has never been a WBC guy, always WBA, except for when he fought Mormeck who was the WBC holder. He had one WBC fight with Maccarinelli and then abandoned the belt and the WBC.

So he really never had any WBC standing. So even if he regains his licence, ovecomes expected German and BBBofC fallout, the WBC still have to officialy meet and pass his application to be placed on a contenders list and approve the fight.

So...it's not a question as to whether there are 15 better contenders.

A WBA vignette. Lennox Lewis and John Ruiz came to an agreement to fight for Lewis' WBA title. Then Lewis reneged. Ruiz took him to court and won. Lewis fought Grant instead, was stripped. But, exactly the way he reneged on his agreement to fight Klitschko a rematch, he begrudged anyone else benefiting and held on to the belt until the very morning of both his Grant fight, and his retirement respectively, when he was stripped by both WBA and WBC.

An excellent example of Lewis' begrudging, greedy, jealous, malicious nature, so clear from the very first time I heard him speak, Because of this lack of sportsmanship so obvious to me, even though he was a very good fighter, I've never liked him, and don't mind saying so.
