What Bob Arum needs to do is see if Juanma will agree to get himself a new trainer then talk about feature fights.

I would love to see him against vazquez, there was some bad blood going on between them last year. Besides wv2 could use some build up. Wonder how long would glassma Lopez hold till papito breaks him down.... But let's be fair, that would just be wrong, it seems clear to me that glassma is only training to make weight and leaving nothing for the fights. It's obvious he needs a new corner and im pretty sure sure his stamina would improve at 130 and should absorb shots better as well. Also stop sucking on trinidads balls, its not doing him any good.

Puerto Rican or not no one can deny he needs a new trainer. He looked bad, Salido hit him all night because he had no defense.

The WBC is working this same formula in Mexico, but Mexican fans are more su****ious of the mis-matchmaking and paper titles. Juanma took the PR fans for a ride (actually it was his promoters), but now I'm seeing more of the same su****ions from PR. These guys carry other people's pride into the ring, we can do without the hype. Lets get them tested and see what we have, instead of protected, and avoid the sorrow.

Arum is going to do to Lopez what he did with Cotto. Give him a weak champion and then fight a washed up guy who talks a lot of smack.

We need to start seeing losses as learning experiences and not career ending disasters. When, and only when there is that paradigm shift in our appreciation of boxers then we can move forward. Mexicans are on a roll because they have superior trainers right now and because THEY DON'T GIVE UP AFTER THEIR FIRST LOSS. It's a cultural thing, PR's love to be on top, but once there is a setback, they turn their backs on their fighters. We destroy our fighters ourselves. How are they supposed to regain confidence and heal mentally when our media and our fans lambast them to hell and back. We don't give positive criticism, we further harm them through not-so-constructive criticism. That is one aspect of the general culture that is deplorable, and I'm saying that as a Rican.

I think Salido is just a bad match up against Juanma, he comes forward, is great at inside fighting and takes a great shot.

Juanma will do better against boxers, guys who are willing to stay at the end of his shots and box with him. That's why I think that a fight with Gamboa would be more competitive than people think. I still want to see that fight to be honest with you.

Juanma wants to brawl too much, it's in his nature to do that and I don't think he can avoid it.
Totally disagree, Salido just got low came forward and winged punches and anyone with decent pop who follows his gameplan will have the same success. Juanma doesn't tuck his chin against Salido he looked like he was seven feet tall with the reach of a 5 foot tall fighter, Salido just couldn't miss him. Juanma need to learn how to tuck that chin and not fight so straight up especially when he's against the ropes . This is not a style matchup problem it is a huge flaw in Juanma's game and if he doesn't fix it I see many L's in his future.
