Agreed. I was expecting so much more from Hatton, especially against a guy that really doesn't have much to offer. But, Akward guys can make you look less than you are.

Right now, I;m more convinced than ever that Mayweather will keep Ricky at a distance, pickin' him off for 12 solid rounds of whoop.

Cotto, on the other hand, would not have much fun with Hatton, and would eventually get tagged on that tender chin.

Talk about his chin all you want, he's never been KO'ed and Torres hits very hard, boxing wise Cotto looks superior to Hatton.
Maussa was a much more confident fighter this time around, he actually had something to lose.

Ricky has a plan for every fight and he WILL devise one that will enable him to crush Cotto. Cotto won't be able to resist the chance to trade in an all out war and his chin will be found wanting.

I would like to see Hatton catch Cotto without locking his arms up. Next year, is the year of Cotto, remenber where you heard it first! Castillo/Hatton KO'd. I think Cotto was training for a Hatton fight with Torres, because he left himself defenseless as if someone had cuten off his defense..

          hmm

I didn't see the fight, but, just going on radio and reports...

Hatton would have his hands full with Cotto, and vice versa. Cotto got hurt by Torres, but Torres is a legit power puncher and you have to credit Cotto for a great recovery. Hatton meanwhile...he is strong, but he's going to have a really rough time trying to rough up Cotto who is naturally bigger and stronger than himself. Cotto would certainly have the ability to hurt Hatton on the inside and he could tie him up well, being as strong as he is.

Hatton and Cotto is a tough fight to call. Cotto seems to have better accuracy, a bit more power and a slightly better defense. He also would carry the weight. The problem is Hatton's power and chin. What if Hatton is strong enough to take Cotto's shots while delivering his own hard shots to Cotto? Will Cotto be able to take them? If Cotto gets hurt, will he recover like he has in the past? Also, one very important factor for this fight which no one has mentioned is Cotto's partying habit. He has been drinking lately and been spotted at parties drunk while in camp for fights. Perhaps that affected his ability to take punches in previous fights.

Hatton-Cotto would be a damn good fight for boxing though, that's for sure.

Tell you what I liked tonight... Hatton took some shots off Maussa... not solid, maybe, but considerable... and again didn't let them phase him. He really does seem to have a decent pair of chops.

i have said all along even before this fight that pbf would win a ud over hatton making him look silly at times ...this fight did not change my mind in anyway towards either fighter pbf still wins this fight to much speed and boxing superiority for hatton to handle..

Id love to see Hatton beat Floyd, but i think FMJ is too sharp, too fast, and his defence is too tight.

I think he'd sharp shoot Hatton with his right.

BUT, i dont know if Floyd has ever dealt with that level of pressure.

As for tonite, i thought Hatton did well against such an awkward rangey guy. He kept on him, looked messy sure, but took low blows, and cuts, and just kept going.

Like he said, when i started to relax, he became more accurate and made fairly easy work out of him.
