Comments Thread For: Roy Jones: I'd Beat Mayweather, Pacquiao a Tough Style

Throw away size, weight, and age out the window, we asked the legend himself Roy Jones, Jr. how he would've done against today's top two boxers, Manny Pacquiao, and Floyd Mayweather, Jr. in his prime.

Pac has a punchers chance, Floyd dosen't.
Usually I would go Skills >>>> Athleticism, except for when we talk about Roy Jones athleticism, this guy was a true freak.

"you got to survive his power first, then you deal with him. that's still yet to be seen."

i have to disagree with jones here. wasn't roy commentating morales-pacquiao I? marquez arguably beat pac twice as well, maybe even three times depending on who you ask.

        Roy just being humble

I personally think Roy Jones Jr at his prime would have toyed with Mayweather and Pacquiao. If you think Mayweather is fast, Roy is even faster and I don't mean machinegun-like speed. Roy can land a punch even before anyone of the two could anticipate it. And Roy's style is hands-down confusing. I'm from the Philippines but a fan of boxing first, and I think Roy Jones Jr was in a better and higher level than Floyd is at their peaks. Thanks, Roy, for some great fights you've given us fans!

RJ would toy and stop both "versions" of pac. style wise, mayweather @ 130 vs prime roy would be a hell of a fight though.

Why try to discredit what RJJ said? He said he would struggle with Pac so why do you disagree with the man? How do you know much better than RJJ when it comes to his fights?

Roy would smoke both P4P, unless you are telling me p4p would make Pacquiao a couple inches taller and with a reach advantage. Then his style would bother Roy, maybe.
