It was about technique last night and not about chin or heart.
If Lopez had hit Salido with half the clean punches he got hit with Salido would have been ko'd earlier.
Juanma's problem is not chin or desire it's the flaws he has like keeping his chin up in the air without moving his upperbody to avoid punches. Also Salido has very sneaky punches that come out of nowhere when it looks like he's out of position, that right hand that hurt Juanma was crazy because it came out of nowhere.
It might be a good idea for Puerto Rican's to look outside of the island when looking for trainers and sparring.
This thread is crazy biased, people are just different. Cotto has a great chin as does Juanma. Mexicans do usually brawl a lot and take some shots but we can all name Mexicans that went out on KO's to the chin and body.
"Passionate boxing fans can and will argue all night long over who is the best fighter in the world pound for pound. The same can’t be said about the best boxing nation pound for pound. There’s no debate:
Tbh it's not even ricans. If you look at it, anyone who gets hit often enough will go down. What I will say is that Mexicans on the other hand can take shots to the chin.
If floyd, Hopkins etc took clean shots, they would probably go down. However they fight smart.
When you can't hurt someone, you know you're gonna have to work your ass off.
Alot of those guys on your list have questionable chins too...I've seen alot of them hit the canvas, especially Roy. I guess they all have terrible chins too huh
I don't care about the chins that the fighters on my list have, I'm talking about Lopez and Cotto's chins. And yes past prime Roys punch resistance is terrible. I don't know why Mexican posters and PR posters are quick to use my list as a counter of some sort, a weak one at that, like they have nothing better to say. They fail when they see I don't deny my favorite fighters weaknesses like they do. These two fighters got weak chins, just deal with it and move on.
If it's about taking too many flush shots, how many punches was it that Lopez got hurt with and went down against Concepcion in the first round? It was one punch. One punch!
The Mtagwa fight, the fight was changed with just one punch.
The guy clearly has little punch resistance and all of a sudden people are trying to make him look like he got an iron chin "but just gets hit too much". You guys are ridiculous to say the least

Not only that but they laugh at the notion that Cotto's got a weak chin. Cotto got stunned by Malignaggi who has more or less 5 kos on his record. And again even though a lot of it has to do with chin, I am talking about punch resistance.I love Cotto but I just gotta keep it real, he fights hard and his style is great but he gets hit here and there and he stumbles a little and loses focus. I thought he took as much punishment from Clottey as in the Margartio fight. He just wasn't exhausted cause Clottey isn't really a pressure fighter.

You're acting all arrogant as if you just know better than everyone else, when really, you're wrong. Everything in this post is wrong.
Lopez got caught off guard with a decent punch against Concepcion, and he wasn't really that hurt.
Mtagwa fight changed with one punch? Did you even watch the fight?
Lopez has a good chin, I don't see how that's anything other than fact. 90% of people with any sort of a clue is going to disagree with you on this.
