      Too late.

Juanma comitted career suicide when he blamed the ref for his L. PR Best Boxing has come out with a public apology on his behalf but the damage is done, they won't be able to repair his cry baby image.

People here in PR are pi$$ed at him and when you lose the support of your fan base you might as well call it a career. Most fans won't watch his fights, much less pay a ticket to one of his fights after such a disgraceful post fight act. If he decides to continue on he'll be fighting on FNF and lowly fight cards.

He did the right thing....as much as anyone believes a prepared public statement written by a lawyer and/or publicist. Let's face it. His true character showed after the fight. That's the raw and true JuanMa!! Even IF he was punch-drunk after the KO and cried like a sore loser, he still could've come to his senses by the post-fight press conference and retracted what he said about the ref.

Either way, I'm glad he's apologizing and hopefully he believes or will believe every word in that apology.

i hope juanma is sincere with his apology, ref ramirez just saved his life...if ramirez did not call the tko, juanma could be in the coma state by now, there's no way he could defend himself further if ramirez did not stop the fight. that 3 power punch combo dropped him like a rag doll.

i don't blame ramirez if he does'nt accept juanma's apology, that was a nasty accusation, imho.

Uhh look at the ref's response. He rejected his apology because 10 min before he gave it, he heard Juan Ma calling him some name in spanish. Scroll up.

This may or may not be true. Did he hear it himself? Through second party? Did he not hear him correctly? Point is that Lopez has no history of this kind of thing and owned up to his mistake publicly. The rest is he said/she said. If the ref feels slighted and doesn't want to accept his apology that's fine. Its my opinion he handled this the right way though.

I believe the ref because he said he wont try to sue him for libel or try to hustle cash out of him.

So I kind of give him the benefit of the doubt. If he said that and was suing? Well thats another story. Dude has no motive to make stuff up, he just doesnt want to be abused by fighters.

He cried early stoppage after the 1st fight so he does have a history. The ref rejected the apology in the main newspaper in PR just minutes after PR Best Boxing issued the apology on Juanma's behalf knowing their cash cow in PR will have a hard time selling tickets or getting fans interested in his fans after this.

                      He called Juanma a "charlatan".
