If the 5 year extension is true then he probably didn't feel it was worth it if he was trying to part ways from TR.

Even if that extension was true he could have still shown up to the press conference and tried to work it out. I have a hard time believing he HAD to sign for 5 years in order to get Rios. Money has already been invested in the fight I believe they could have figured something out.

I hope Guillermo gets a good fight for the Pac-Bradley card.

However I want to hear his side and it would be great for him to show face.
Agreed. Unfortunately, Yuri should've shown his face and made some statements before HBO's Ken Hershman made his remarks today. Gamboa's house is on fire, and he's standing there watching it burn....

It seemed like a bad move not to show up at the time; it seems even worse now. That eleventh-hour move by Gamboa pissed-off the maximum number of people. Yuri had to at least follow up by staying visible. He made a brief statement and hasn't been heard from since. I can't possibly imagine what he's thinking, or what he's being told....

same here, it's disappointing. I have no doubt his contract(s) are f'd and he has a right to be upset, but still this is the worst possible way to go about it I think. He pissed of HBO & the fans.

But life goes on, he can redeem himself.
