The thing about running confidence jobs on people is the best ones always involve doing right by the person to start because you really gain their confidence. Then once they trust you, that is the green light to start ****ing them slow at first but eventually it always ends up with a hard lubeless **** pillaging.

For example you get a guy out of a communist dictatorship, get him citizenship, get him fights for decent money. How do you not end up trusting that guy, put yourself in his shoes I hope all of you heed what you say and never get taken but I have seen a lot of smart people get suckered and conned~

Contracts aren't written in stone for a reason~ such as con jobs

I'm crazy that I really believe that, but Shaw and many other people have documented that Shaw wasn't offering an extension for the Bradley-Khan fight.

Shaw knew that Bradley was leaving him because of Cameron Dunkin. Bradley and Shaw didn't even discuss a contract extension prior to the Bradley-Alexander fight. Bradley's team besides Shaw tried to hold up the Alexander fight because of that and they got the deal done.

It was a relationship falling apart and Shaw knew this. He just wanted one last payday before he went and that's why Shaw sued him.

As for Gamboa is has nothing to do with Playing "THE VICTIM" Boxing just so happen to be a very Corrupt and Dirty Business and it can go from "THE PROMOTER AND MANAGER WORKING FOR YOU" to "YOU WORKING FOR THE PROMOTER AND YOUR MANAGER" with out most fighters even knowing it, especially when it comes to fighters who come from Poor Countries and did not have much, you give them a nice car and a nice Condo of course they are going to be happy until someone comes along and show them and tell them what they "REALLY SHOULD BE MAKING"

Bottom Line, if Top Rank is serious bout giving the fan what they want, then forget going forward with these Press Conferences without Gamboa, get Gamboa on the Phone or in Top Rank Office and try to work this thing out...instead of publicly offering a extra $100K I guess to try and bait him into signing off for this fight
Then Gamboa shouldn't have had a binding agreement with Top Rank and extended his contract for two years. They've done plenty with Gamboa in terms of this fight. Career high payday, give Gamboa the fight directly instead of building it up, and create excitement with the fight by booking TWO press conference dates.

That's something that never happens. The miami date would not happen if it wasnt requested.

They did it for themselves not for Gamboa. It was a win-win for TR plus you would think they learned from the Juanma-Gamboa mistake they made when they never made that fight happen. Cause if you ask me Top Rank hasn't done **** for Gamboa, the fight with Juanma was the best thing they could've done for him and didn't why? Cause they kept protecting Juanma and it ended backfiring them.

Earlier today, the thought occurred to me that the Salas replacement might not have been approved by Gamboa. I hesitated to mention it because I figured that Yuri would've squashed it if it mattered enough to him. Then you mentioned this and it strengthened my su****ions. As luck would have it, I ran across the article below while researching fight news:

I think Gamboa has been getting screwed more than we think and a lot of people are blaming him thanks to what TR has been selling at the press conference. If anyone comes across any more news please update us. Btw I read on Wikipedia that Oner was the one who did fire Salas because he was against the Rios fight. Then again it's Wikipedia so up to you to believe it or not.

What you say about confidence scams is correct. (First, the "good deed" to win trust; then comes the ulterior motive.) The connection you make to Gamboa's particular situation is also accurate. (A stranger in a strange land is made to feel grateful for all the "help" he's received...then comes the payoff.) Con men and their ilk rely on human nature and psychology to draw victims into their traps. Another common human flaw scam artists use as a tool is greed. It's astonishing how trust and greed can be used to blind people to the truth. And, again you're right, smart people fall for this stuff all the time.

Scam artists live in a world of deceit; they know all the major avenues and side roads. Visitors to that world are just tourists, a victim waiting to happen. Cus D'Amato once told Mike Tyson, "There are animals disguised as human beings out there, and you're not sophisticated enough to tell them apart." Words of wisdom....

All I can say is that Gamboa needs to fight. I'm a fan of his but all this s h i t is garbage. You said you wanted the fight then fight. I understand you want to work with May and have the skills to be like him but don't copy his ducking ways. Stay true to your word be a stand up man go outbox the Rios guy.
