This is going to get ugly!!! TR can't legally make Gamboa responsible for any loss w/o a signed contract. (and I do understand is common practice to start promotions w/o signed contracts) On the other hand, Gamboa and his team don't want to burn bridges with Top Rank, Vegas and specially HBO. This will be fatal for his career. I'm pretty sure when they got the physical contract and the lawyer got involved there was a clause or clauses that team Gamboa didn't really like. IMHO is a multi-years extension w/ TR!!! Too bad I was hyped for this fight...It very unusual that Bob Arum is so quite, hmmmm!!!

Top Rank can completely destroy his boxing career, Arum a former laywer knows very well how to win a court case. Donaire knows this the hard way and had to kiss the feet of the old creepy Brooklyn man. Gamboa is thinking too highly of himself, although he's a talented fighter, he is no superstar at this point of time and he may go the road of Naz Hamed, arrogant and kill his own career by acting this way. After all, this was a career high payday and he's listening to some bad advise these days.

Even signing with GB/Floyd after he leaves TR, he will never recoup the amount of money he will lose in the court and the money lost because of his inactivity in the ring because of this.

There's no such thing as GB Floyd because Mayweather doesn't have a working Promotion Co. and Golden Balls have had their fingers burnt a few times by Top Rank whilst trying to steal their contracted fighters. Gamboa has a new 2 year Top Rank contract, I don't know about Oner.

Top Rank can take him to the cleaners but will likely go to arbitration to make it easier for him. They are softhearted with ****** fighters in their care.

Nothing creepy about Arum He's actually a good natured old geezer. Old people aren't creepy, you'll be old yourself some day. Do you want the kids to run away from you because you're "creepy". And you probably won't be nearly as active as Arum who is a miracle man.
