Get it in writing, signed & sealed.
Actually I work in court houses all the time and have to deal withthis kind of things. As far as know, Verbal agreements are just as good as a sign document "IF" and only "IF" there are witnesses present, which in this case look like it was (HBO reps & TR reps + Oner) so I don't know whats going to Happen because aparently Gamboa has one of the best lawyers in this matter.

Yes, which eventually becomes a contest of credibility between parties.

At least in PR, judges seem to be shying away from wanting to deal with this anymore, or at least it is what I'm told by our legal rep at my company.

big head JR has gotten into Gamboas ear and Poor Gamboa don't know what he has just done.

I wanted to see this super fight as much as anyone, its one of those rare fights

Isn't this like when HBO and TR had a press conference announcing they had signed FMJ to exclusive HBO contract? Floyd called it a 'slave contract' and refused to sign it until he received more money.

So you know a written contract supercedes a verbal one. If the written contract TR sent to Gamboa has any added clauses or stipulations the verbal contract is voidable.

I'm so happy right now!!! Don't get me wrong, I would have liked to Rios and Gamboa fight but I'm loving how this has blown up in Bob Arums face. I hate his guts!!!

Gamboa clearly said he wasn't gonna be present at the press, what part of No didn't Arum understood ? Why didn't they try to work something out to avoid the mess? they thought he was playing games I guess.

Curious to see how this situation is going to clear/not clear up

if Gamboa isn't Rios opponent in April .. what's Gamboa's next move? I read a couple of people on here saying that Gamboa will have to sit out 2 years (remainder of his Top Rank contract)

If he all of a sudden backs out, that puts HBO, Top Rank and everyone involved in a bad situation. It sounds to me that gamboa agreed then decided to change his mind about the money or other details and that's not cool. If he wasn't content with the details he shouldn't have agreed to the fight.
No it is not. Do you know how many people say one thing and do the other? If it is not in writing signed and sealed, then it's not iron clad.
