i think this promotional problem that gamboa's team are blabbering is just an excuse. they just came to the realization that rios is too much for gamboa...that he might suffer a severe beating that could psychologically end his career.

Yes, that's exactly what it is. Gamboa started realizing the risk he's getting into. He must be paid vast amounts of money for it. Kind of money even established boxers don't even deserve. This is no different from the Mayweather case. Pac is too risky, therefore he must be paid more than $100 million. **** the spirit of taking on a challenge, **** the sport, **** the fans.

It is Gamboa's responsibility to EXPLAIN HIMSELF, knucklehead! Gamboa agreed to the fight and talked about the fight and agreed to Miami. If not, he should have spoken up weeks ago, dummy!

I'm pretty sure we'll never get satisfactory explanation as to what's really going on here, but Yuri had better clarify some things real soon. A lot of people had their hopes brought up, shelled-out money, wasted time, etc. I would be willing to bet a lot of cold, hard cash that Gamboa isn't afraid to fight Rios. Yuri probably does feel shafted, but he needs to make everyone understand his position as clearly as possible.

I think Rios should let Gamboa back out of the fight if that is what he wants. It is pretty obvious that Gamboa doesn't want to fight Rios. That way Rios can make a fight with a real warrior like Marquez.

Great move by Gamboa. Somebody finally talked some sense into his head. He should never have agreed to the fight with Rios in the first place. He was moving up in weight too much.

As to Rios, will he fight somebody and do less talking? His act is wearing thin.

Haha, what a fool. If I remember correctly Rios-Gamboa was announced like Gamboa challenged Rios and it also was quickly announced that an agreement had been reached. This was about one month ago... And now one month after the announcement Gamboa is like : What? I will fight Rios?? Who said that, I never heard of it... no agreement has been reached... hahaha Anyways, that was just too good to be true, it looked like Gamboa would take a big risk/challenge, but instead he chooses to bail out of the fight with some ridiculous excuse... That could have been a fight of the year, great stylistic matchup, but no just bail and make yourself look like a coward... very disappointing...
