I sincerely doubt that HBO would be involved in any kind of situation where Top Rank is forcing Gamboa to sign any kind of extension. If they got the fight, it's because contracts had been agreed to and signed..

Just going off of all the media interviews he had made when the fight was done. Maybe he wants the fight but was told he should be making way more money than he agreed for?If he loses against Rios, his value goes down big-time.

Who is saying this? Gamboa people? They just signed a 2 year extension. There is no reason to ask for a 5 year extension now. If anything Top Rank would force it if Gamboa beats Rios and somehow gets a shot at Pacquiao. Then yes, but for this? No. As much as Gamboa has lied and changed his mind I don't believe anything coming from that camp. One minute he hires Stewards next day he wants Roger to train him.

I think Rios is right here. Gamboa made the decision not to fight or show up. It is what it is-- He didn't want to fight. He is making at least a Million to fight, if you win (BIG IF) then you can ask for more by beating a tuff Rios. I do think he thought twice about the fight and backed out cause he doesn't want to lose
