Watch little prince, big fight on YouTube. You will see a documentary of how named was not really training that great and looked shut in sparring.
I recall named brother, his manager mocking Barrera as try drove passed that mountain. He laughed that we are here and Barrera is up there in the cold.
I was thinking, er that's not a good thing fool.Comment

Tbh Barrera did beat him, but named won 3 or 4 rounds still from memory.
He did have bad hands, his hand broke at least once if not more. He relied on too much power by that stage but couldn't adapt to boxing only. Big problem when you face a hof.Comment

I don't think it makes a difference. He lost to Barrera and where most elite fighters would come back and gain back their thrown / notoriety, he just disappeared and got into ****. He wasted a good amount of his remaining years which could've been filled with fights w/ Erik Morales, Manny Pacquiao, Juan Manuel Marquez, etc.
With that being said, he was exciting to watch as long as he was active. Also considering he wasn't from the US, he was actually a popular guy in the States when it came to Boxing. I remember my friends even at a young age not knowing Boxing wanting to see his fights.Comment

Hamed was fun to watch but he never got that signature win. Any of Mexico's big three win would had been good for him and made a case for him being a sure shot HOF.
It doesn't have to do anything with not being american. He had legit HOFamers in his weight class and the minute he fought one he lost and never came back after the tune up fight he hadComment

Naz lacked discipline, that's why he failed vs Barrera. His speed, power was far superior to that of Manny / Mayweather. Those guys though, have more success due to them living the boxer's life style/discipline inside and outside the ring, Naz just couldn't and that's why he failed. He ignored his corner's advice in between rounds, he turned his cheek the other way when Steward spoke to him (Barrera fight) , very arrogant and he paid for it (by losing)Comment
