They fought September 16, 1981. That was before they even peaked really. How was that too long when they were both respected but young champions at the time? AND Hagler.....that fight happened at a good time in my opinion. Neither one was passed it and they both had a lot left. Leonard made Hagler look slow. Hagler would have beaten almost anyone else at that time. I'd love to hear your opinion on Mr. Mayweather? He is the true ducker of his era.
