I doubt Gamboa signed the contract to fight Rios if he no longer wants to be in a business relationship with Top Rank and is reportedly unhappy with the purse.

For a company that has even the recent history of Top Rank, it is not their protocol to press for a fight of this magnitude so soon (where there weren't finalizing announcements until last week (less than 2 months before the fight)) unless they had ulterior motives. Gamboa's been in Vegas (Top Rank HQ) not Alaska, they could have seen the writing on the wall and decided to try to pressure Gamboa to stay in a relationship he didn't want to continue.

Gamboa-Rios would be a great fight, but Gamboa should do what is best for him. Though I want to see the fight (one of the best fights that can be made in boxing), if that means leaving the puppeteer and Gamboa-Rios not happening so be it.

You probably can find a video on Youtube about how SRL offered him 500k and he turned it down. Months before that offer he only made a career high payday of 50k or somewhere around that figure against the great JWW Cervantes. So when the Leonard fight was the to be made for 10x the amount he had ever made. He turned it down.

Its all true...You have not even been following the guy...The guy was caught up in contract..True...He was on a lay off..true...he signed with Mayweather, and all of a sudden he's on TV...Floyd changed his life within a few month time period...Deandre now lives full time in vegas, focuses 100% on boxing, and is now getting tv dates....For some reason your mad at me....all Im saying is Mayweather promotions is making moves...If you guys dont like Floyd, dont take it out on the boxing fans...Gotdayumn accept the fact that the guy is 42-0, and quit getting mad at his fighters, and new business moves
