    Of course he deserves it.

Wlad just fought Mormeck. And I think I heard Rahman was a likely opponent for his next fight. Haye is still one of the absolute best HWs out there, and he has a name and brings more money to the table than pretty much everybody else.

It makes sense for Haye and Vitali to fight, in every way.

On top of that, they both really wanna fight each other.

He's the best of the rest, so it makes sense.

I understand why those who dislike Haye feel the way they do, but for me it's better to fight the best opponent rather than one who is 'mandatory' due to beating other bums in the division.

After Mormeck who hadn't fought in a year and a half and probably deserved to lose against Oquendo and Ibragimov, and was an excellent Cruiserweight 4-5 years ago but is nothing now I would be glad to see Haye in there.

I think Haye is well above fighters like Adamek, Arreola and even Chisora, let alone a undersized faded Mormeck.

There are so few good fighters left at HW and the ones that might challenge the bros are a good 2-3 years away (Price, Mitchell etc)

Exactly. Haye has been nothing but a con man at heavyweight.

What other heavy has an impressive resume, name-wise, though?

None of them have beat anybody of note, it's a sad state the division is in. With all of that being said, my belief of Haye being the best of the rest makes him the most valid opponent.

But, hey, I'm not going to argue with people who feel the opposite. Guy's like Mormeck and Adamek are there to be knocked out and nothing else.

It's not so much that he deserves it as much as there really isn't anybody else. He did give his brother trouble and nearly had him on the floor.

And Hayes there to run around, flop on the floor, not get KO'd and collect an even bigger pay check

What is this impressive HW resume you keep talking about referring to Haye anyway

What makes him the best of the rest? He hasn't been impressive at all at heavy and now wants to step in and get the big payday without earning it. He did that last time and supporters and detractors alike were disgusted. Now it will be a year or more of activity and he has still done nothing to earn a shot.
