WHen floyd needed money to pay taxes, he took what ODH gave him. Looks like history may repeat itself only its manny who may have to take what he gets because he no pay his taxes.

Manny may not be able to afford not to take floyds crappy offer.
you dont even know the full extent of the situation concerning pacs taxes, you are talking out of your ass once again. All pac has asked for is a fair fight. Did he make a mistake during the first negotiations, he probably did. But from then on its been the floyd show. their is no denying that. he lied about negotiations not taking place when they were. he has taken long time off. he has proceeded to claim pac is on drugs with proof. he has asked for an unfair split of revenue.

you wanted facts and these are all facts. Floyd is the one who has stopped this fight from happening. ***** ****rider

    • Don't know why some people regard Mayweather as if he's in Tyson's category. Tyson made boxing exciting. People neither want to see him lose nor rooted for him. It was the spirit and excitement of the sport they immersed themselves in. Whole wold knows who Tyson was. Half of the world don't even know who Mayweather is because they simply don't care about boring boxers.

more ****sexual slurs. tsk tsk tsk. So it was manny's fault at first, but since then, its been all floyd. OST testing should NOT have been an impediment. Its a simple procedure both fighters undergo. Manny had the purse split he wanted, glove and ring size, and floyd was willing to pay $10 mil if he came in over 147. THERE IS NO JUSTIFICATION FOR MANNY NOT TAKING THIS DEAL!!!

If you think any fighter would give manny, or any opponent, that deal again your crazy. Especially since floyd didn't have ANY reason to do 50/50 other than to get fight made.

Manny turned down the best deal he was EVER gonna get from a greedy bastard like floyd over PED tests. If they never reach another agreement this is why they didn't fight. They were never as close to making a deal as they were at the above point.

You know it too. But I don't think you will admit it.

          cotto: #3 ppv draw
canelo: most popular young fighter in sport and a mexican
martinez: no name recognition but MW champ
khan: big in england does good business in US.

WHile there is no guarantee, its concievable floyd can do 1.5-1.7 with Cotto. Manny isn't seeing that number with anyone right now.

WHich do you think ther are more of- paying customers who want to see manny or paying customers that want to see floyd lose? So if they think floyd could lose, they'll buy.
Do you realize that what you just posted is actually proving what I have been trying to tell you?
Floyd can't do it on his own.
He has to have an equally good PPV attraction as a dancing partner. In addition, to increase the chances for good numbers, he has to have a popular Mexican on the undercard and the fight date must be on Cinco de Mayo, when the Mexican market is at its strongest. Without these conditions, his fights could end up doing much lower figures.

With Pac, even without the Cinco de Mayo factor, even if the undercard sucks, even if the fight is against a fighter with very little following like Clottey, even if the fight does not get the maximum promotion, his numbers still break into the top 25.

Pac can carry a fight on his own and make good numbers. With Floyd, it's a big question mark.

You are purposely pretending to be ******ed for no reasonother than you would rather come across that way than simply admit floyd sells more. floyd on his own (Ortiz) 1.25 mil. Manny on his own (Clotty) 750k. Manny with biggest ppv star ODh- 1.25, floyd with biggest ppv star- 2.44. Manny with #3 cotto 1.25 mil floyd with #3 TBD (but if he did 1.25 with Ortiz well you get my drift.)

Keep making excuses and spin it any way you want I don't mind. I know the truth as do you.

You are beating the Floyd drum way too hard to be considered objective.

              • The vast majority of boxing fans, writers, historians, boxers and others in the boxing industry blame Floyd for this fight not happening.

Regardless on how are some of Floyd fanboys try and defend their idol, history will not judge him kindly.

History will note how whenever Pacquiao made concessions to make the fight happen, Floyd moved the goalpost to stop the fight happening, and will concluded that Floyd ducked Pacquiao, for what ever reason.

It is a dark page in boxing, that has drove fans away and given the MMA crew a stick to beat the boxing fans with, "The top fighters don't fight each other in boxing" and this will be UFC's recruiting call to capture the next generation of fight fans.

Floyd has hurt boxing, and this is not the first time he has stopped the big fights that the fans wanted from happening, and thats why I dislike him, for the damage he has done to boxing. And he is a complete tool as well

Shame on you Floyd and shame on anybody that defends him.

I completely agree with this. This is a brilliant site and my favourite boxing website/forum, but I gotta admit that I find myself scratching my head a lot when Floyd's fans cant or wont or just plain refuse to see what everybody else can see. They will latch on to the tiniest or most insignificant press release or quote and try and turn it into hard evidence that its all a conspiracy against Floyd.

As a boxing fan you have to laugh at it and take the piss because otherwise you would cry.

I wonder if Floyd will regret his decisions when he finally retires, or was it all about the money for him and nothing to do with glory or legacy.

I don't mind people arguing why Floyd might beat Pacquiao, because it an opinion and it is good to debate tactics and styles anything can happen in the ring.

But how some are blinkered to Floyd unwillingness to make this fight happen beggars belief.

But at least it is only a small minority
