It's just business when Bob Arum says it; Floyd hatters get off his JOCK STRAP. If you want to get mad put THAT energy on the PEOPLE who are destroying this county and world. Fools don't do anything but complain at the wrong issues not on WHAT counts. If you don't like Floyd so be it move on. It’s only a parade and we get the opportunity to watch it THAT's IT! If the fight happens it happens if not there will be other parades to see. POLITICIANS, MEDIA and others (THE BIGGEST PARADE EVER) who have a direct impact on people daily life play games with people lives and people barely get upset. Yet, news on these two individuals creates more buzz then when gas prices reach all time highs. If gas prices go up; instead of the MEDIA giving you the truth about the GREED issues surrounding the increases they tell you where the al-cheap-o gas can be found; and people go scrambling to find it and think nothing of what’s really going on. Floyd and Manny don't know you or I so why talk down on them. ITS JUST BUSINESS! lol why so serious…
With that said, Mayweather's a good business man as an active boxer, but a f'n pu55y when it comes to fighting Pacquiao.

You see this in sports all the time, especially in boxing and the NFL. One side puts an offer on the table and the other rejects it and around in circles we go until both sides can come to an agreement. In 2009 TR pulled out of the fight with the 50/50 split on the table so is it really just about the money? I dont think so.

THANK YOU Floyd, for finally admitting that you're scared to end up like Ali.
THANK YOU you Floyd, for saying that 50/50 will never happen, that Pac should be happy to get only 40m and the rest are all yours, even if Pac beat your numbers in the last two years.
THANK YOU Floyd for making more of your fans to finally see the light.
THANK YOU Floyd for making it clearer as to who is scared to make this fight.
And finally, THANK YOU Floyd for finally showing your true color.. YELLOW.

A 40M offer with 0 PPV shares for a fight that could gross more than 200M is an insult. Now you talk about proposals, counter-proposals on the table: Didn't Manny through Michael Konkz and of course with proper clearance from Bob Arum offered Floyd 50M guarantee and 55-45 revenue split with 55 going to the winner? Isn't it a serious and honest effort and an initiative on the part on Manny to keep the negotiation going in spite of the insulting offer from Floyd? And what was Floyd's answer then? " Manny is fighting Floyd Mayweather and there's no way Manny can get 50-50. And now you are blaming Arum and team Pac for not exerting enough effort. Dude you are hilarious as usual.
When Bob Arum promotes a Pacquaio fight, he pays all the expenses, pays Pac a flat fee and a small percentage of the PPV profits and keeps the rest of the money. That is what Floyd was proposing to Pac. Floyd would serve as the promoter, collect all the money and pay Pacquaio a flat fee of $40 million, plus perhaps a small percentage of the PPV revenue. Floyd would keep the rest of the money after paying the expenses. This is the same thing that De La Hoya did after he started promoting himself. Arum would get a small fee, maybe $5 to $10 million plus what he takes from Pacquaio's purse. That is why Arum refuses to make the fight. It has nothing to do with his hatred of Mayweather. It has to do with the fact that Arum is greedy and want to take 60 percent of the money for himself.
For the last four years, Pac has not had a problem being insulted by taking a $5 to 10 million salary from Bob Arum on fights against guys like Marquez, Mosley and Hatton while Arum collects $40 or $50 million in profit. Yet, when it comes to fighting Mayweather, he suddenly wants half the profits.
I would bet my life on the fact that Pac is not getting half the profits against Timothy Bradley when he is carrying the PPV by himself. Nor did he get half the profits against Marquez, Mosley, Margarito or Cotto. All he got was a salary that represented a small portion of the profits. However, against Mayweather, he suddenly wants half the profits. It won't happen and, after Bradley taxes his ass on June 9, Pac will be lucky if he made $40 million for the rest of his career, let alone in one fight.Last edited by big_james10; 03-02-2012, 08:01 PM.
