Probably right but I think that fight definitely happens again somewhere down the line.

Every idiot fanatic tends to forget what doesn't suit their agenda, and rents out billboards for what does.

Calzaghe definitely stayed in his bunker until Tarver stopped Roy. We both know it. We just don't have feelings invested in Calzaghe enough to lie for him.
Roy this, Roy that, you say Calzaghe fans conveniently forget he didn't go to the US earlier, well RJJ fans conveniently forget he is a proven cheat, a steroid user and they wanted JC and other clean world champions to fight him in his back yard? gtfoh.

Calzaghe could've gone earlier, but when he did go he beat Hopkins 8,000 miles from home, who went on to have solid victories over various other fighters, he proved his point and had a great, undefeated career even if it could have been even better.

Regarding Bute, he was criticised for not travelling and not taking on big names, well he's fighting Froch in his backyard, credit where it's due.

And no sane person can take the "one krone" claim seriously. That was just posturing. And for you to cite it as hard evidence is just silly. As I said, if they had any substantive basis for their claim they would have said what they offer actually was, instead of using silly hyperbole. But they didn't. And the only possible reason for their not doing so was that they knew that if they did go public with what the offer actually was, most boxing fans would disagree that it was a lowball.
Dude. It was you who claimed that there was no evidence whatsoeverand I never said it was 'hard evidence'.

I just told you that there was several accounts stating that it was a lowball and pointed your attention towards the fact that the claims of lowballing went completely unopposed by Bute's promotor Interbox. Surely if they had made a lucrative offer the easiest thing to do to stop the lowball accusations would have been to make the offer public.

They didn't. All they showed was silence. Pretty revealing n'est ce pas?

Statements by Kessler and his promoter aren't evidence.

I doubt the offer was lucrative and I didn't say I thought it was, but I doubt it was ridiculously low either.

Bute wasn't silent. He said he made Kessler a decent offer and that Kessler clearly didn't want to fight him.
