Big respect for Bute for going to England to fight Froch, but he's got no ground to stand on with Andre Ward. He just ran through the Super 6 and dominated everyone. Bute should have to fight an A level 168 lb guy before the fight with Ward.

Bute by UD, but it'll probably be a lot closer because of the location.

He's reminds me too much of Joe Calzaghe and Darius Michelczewshi ... two fighters that hid out in isolated corners of the world.

If Bute wants to make statements like the one in this thread, he should have gotten his asss in the Super Six. He would be beyond reproach had he fought in and won the tournament.

Bute is an opportunist in that he avoided the tournament but feels as though he's in position to talk ****.

I personally hate fighters like that.

Bute in my mind is not even at the top. He should have to fight Froch, Abraham and Dirrell before he even gets to face Kessler, let alone Ward.

You must EARN your way up the ladder. Bute seems to think that he should have access to a private elevator.

I know fans want to see it, but the man is starting off by riding hype. I mean, it wasn't that long ago that we saw him get saved by the bell against Andrade.

He's got no reason to be puffing out his chest and talking **** to Kessler or Ward.
It's funny how Calzaghe fans always forget about Joe refusing to go to 175 in the late 90's, when Roy was in his prime, to fight him. Instead, he opted to stay at 168 to fight no names. Roy would have whupped Calzaghe prime for prime, NO DOUBT ABOUT IT.

He didn't get invited to the S6. This is coming from Hershman who organized it.

Why the double standard for Andre Ward, who insisted that all his fights be in the Super Six be in the US, all but the last in Oakland? Even though he can't draw flies and had no title when the Super Six started?

Bute has clearly improved since he almost got knocked out against Andrade. Plus, he avenged that near knockout by knocking Andrade out in the rematch.

Maybe it is fair for Bute to fight some 168'ers not called Ward before earning his shot at the top guy, but at the same time, how long can Ward afford to sit out before granting Bute the shot? Plus, who else is out there that Ward can fight? A champ is supposed to defend his title against the best.

                1) he wasnt invited to the super 6.
                2) he's defeated common opponents in much more spectacular and more easily than anyone else in the super 6.
                3) andre ward never fights outside of cali

While i agree he could have had better comp, his best rivals were incthe super 6 or didnt want it (dirrel and kessler). Now he's fighting one of the best super 6 contestants available to him.

You're hating for now reason. After he fights froch, all ward has on him resume wise is kessler.

Bute is an exciting boxer to watch, good skills and one punch ko power.

                  I'm not hating. I'm calling a spade a spade.

Bute hasn't done anything of note to warrant him being discussed among the top at 168lbs. Until he does, he has no real room to cast stones at ANYONE.

That's my point. Your opinions do not change that as your opinions offer nothing relevant aside from him being not invited to the Super 6.

I find that telling because Jermain Taylor, a fighter trying to regroup and not a true 168lber, was invited over Bute? Glenn Johnson was invited over Bute? Allan Green was invited over Bute?!?!?!?

Is it me, or does the lack of an invitation for Bute speak volumes about how those running the tournament felt about what Bute could bring to tourney?

Make your arguments on the boards, pusssy.

I swear more of you idiots are like little prissy gay fairies with your profile comments, rep and private messages.

I must have made you cry for you to be so feminine.

                      Of course they forgot.

Every idiot fanatic tends to forget what doesn't suit their agenda, and rents out billboards for what does.

Calzaghe definitely stayed in his bunker until Tarver stopped Roy. We both know it. We just don't have feelings invested in Calzaghe enough to lie for him.
