Normal human beings that have some concept of the sport and a functioning human brain understand that a 50/50 split with Mayweather is ******ed. Manny has a boss/puppeteer, and that boss is preventing this fight from happening, not because he thinks Manny is getting paid too little, rather I think he's more concerned with his purse split. Manny will never get an equal share of any purse as long as he is with Bob Arum, this is why Floyd can't guarantee a purse split, all Mayweather can do is talk at this point.

Besides this talk of purse splits is premature and immaterial. Money's not the problem, Arum's money is, and until Arum makes up his mind to put Manny on the sacrificial alter it won't happen. Bob Arum is a business man, not a humanitarian, he no more cares for Pacquiao than he cares for rat turds. He cares insofar as Pacquaio is strong enough to get in the ring and have his head ****** around, but beyond that c'mon....

What I dont get is was 50/50 agreed upon the very first time both groups sat down and talked? I know the fight fell apart because of ost but I thought money split wasn't an issue then? If the split was agreed upon before at 50/50 and ost was the only issue then why should the money split be a problem now??

No one has to blame anyone.

Floyd is his own boss. He doesn't have the obligations that Pacquiao has.

So for Pacquiao to ask for a 50/50 split of ALL the money is ridiculous. Pacquiao is asking to rise above his own station in life by demanding that Floyd Mayweather make up the difference of that which he is NOT getting paid.

I other words, Pacquiao is demanding that Floyd pay him that which Arum is robbing him for. Manny is only getting a fraction of what he could be getting, but that's because of his own ****ty deal.

Now, those who have a limited understanding of the situation are claiming that because Floyd won't pay Manny, he's ducking the fight. Its this type of ******ity that allows them to believe that fighting a 5th ranked fighter is the same as fighting a #1 ranked fighter.

Manny is currently about to receive $7 million for a Bradley fight. He could have been fighting for a guaranteed $40 million. The fact that he would rather take the 7 instead of the 40 tells a HUGE story that has peasants doing their best "See no, hear no, speak no evil" imitation ... with their hands over their eyes, ears, but definitely NOT their mouths.

How do some not understand this as its very simple?
