Just cause you want certain match ups dont be to bash a fighter!!
Cotto >>>>>>>>>>>>> Martinez in every way, shape or form posible!!
When the history is set, Cotto is a HOF with great battles, and Martinez will be remember as some dude who was MW champ!!
Floyd aint ****** and $$$ wise and recognition wise Cotto is the second best available behind Manny. Sergio may present a stiffer test, do to size and style but he aint *****!!Last edited by ChampBox@PR; 02-28-2012, 08:17 AM.

Stop taking quotes out of context. Cotto has been in top of boxing for five years even in defeat. He is the more marketable, he has a following and brings more money to the table than Sergio. Your hate blinds you so ****ing bad.
Remember when Floyd told Cotto be your own boss and we can make a fight, well Cotto is his own boss and the fight is happening.

When I think of Cotto, the only thing that comes to mind is him taking a knee against Margarito. Unless he beats Mayweather that's probably the first thing people will remember.

Just a few points: 1.) Isn't FLoyd the one who started this "leftover" concept? Kinda funny how it's coming back to bite him in the ass. . . Even though I like the fight.
2.) Cotto is NOT a natural 154 pounder - you can tell from his weigh-in pictures he looks a little bloated. . . He even has some love handles. . .
3.) There is a difference between "draining" yourself to make weight, and simple dieting and training your ass off to make weight. Cotto simply doesn't want to DIET, and he doesn't have to when training to make 154. . . He was not "drained" when he fought Pac @ 145 - he simply had to diet a little bit more than when he made 147. . He came in at 146 against Clottey. . . Without a doubt, he was in the best physical shape of his career @ 145 against Pac.

1) Floyd Mayweather is on record admitting that if he were to fight Cotto, people would say that he's fighting Pacquaio's leftovers. Then he said, if were to fight Canelo, people would claim that he's too inexperienced. And therefore, he really, really wanted to fight Pacquiao. But since that fight couldn't be made, he had to eat between these two alternatives.
2) Cotto is not a natural 154 pounder, I agree. But for different reasoning. He walks around 165-168 lb. So in my mind -- he should be fighting in the Middleweight division, not even Jr. Middleweight.
3) A guy walking around at 165-168, dropping to 145 is a big deal. Not even healthy to begin with.
