Funny how dumbass "hardcore" boxing fans think. They made a big deal out of Margarito trying to cheat against a cheater yet Haye who hit Chisora with a weapon and an old man gets praised.

Takes it back to Iron Mike days in boxing. Mike flipped out a few times if you remember the Lewis presser. Haye states he emulates Tyson and wants to be thought of in that respect with his power punching. Now maybe he is taking another page out of Tyson's book and drawing attention back to the HW division by any means needed......GuNzZ

Cheating in a boxing match using cement in your gloves and hitting someone 200-300 times with out them knowing it is different then getting into a fight outside the ring which has no rules other then to kick the other guys ass by any means. Completely different set of circumstances too which no comparison can or should be made. To me age is a # if a man is in no condition or too old to fight then he should step aside and make sure he doesn't get injured or hurt. If he is going to remain in harms way or try to inter-vein in anyway then what ever happens, happens. Just because someone is older then you or considered old doesn't mean they cannot hurt you with an unexpected punch or weapon.......GuNzZ

Damn I had no idea Haye actually went up to Vitali to congratulate him during all that mayhem lol. That's pretty cool.

Wow you guys keep talking about the trainer?

Have you seen the behavior of Chisora's trainer? Instead of holding Chisora back from walking to Haye he pretty much encouraged it, and then HE was the one attacking Haye like 3 times in a row. What was Haye supposed to do? Not defend himself? The only good thing the bald old fool did was yelling "take him away from this building" when Haye started talking. Other than that he deserved that bloody lip and nose that Haye gave him

Cheating in a boxing match and getting hit 200-300 times? Which fight you talking about son?

There should be a comparison and I'm rightfully so in thinking it. If an old man comes at me I'm going to lay his ass out but Haye is a professional boxer. Something I'm NOT. That is a world of difference and you know it unless you're not using your head.

Well, since I'm not ten years old or have the mentality of one then no.

Respect as a boxer is gained in the ring. You fight hard, you wear your heart on your sleeve, you're gracious in defeat, humble in winning, you're respectful of your opponent and your fans. This is obvious to any true boxing fan. What's also obvious is that Haye has done none of these things, and what's worse has almost flaunted his contempt for these qualities these last few years.

Now arrogance in and of itself isn't bad provided it's backed up. Trashtalking in and of itself is also not bad, provided you back it up. Even fighting like Haye did when he was still being paid to do it isn't a crime, provided you don't big yourself up and dupe your fans out of their cash like any two-bit conman. Haye provided us with one of the most anti-climatic big fights of recent years, succeeded in destroying PPV in this country and turning hordes of fans and potential fans away from the sport and then dragged the sport into dispute and ridicule all for the purpose of bigging his retirement ass up for an unearned payday at a press conference that had nothing to even do with him in the first place.

And you're expecting me to not only forgive him, but respect him for it?

                      Fuck. Right. Off.

I don't give a crap if you think it was "self defence" or "standing up to the bully" or any of that schoolyard nonsense, what he did last Saturday was just one more cherry on the big old cake of lies and unfulfilled promises that is David Haye's career. He's an utter disgrace to the sport and to this country, and I hope the irritating sod stays hiding under his Las Vegas party rock.

And Holmes's fight with Berbick was way more entertaining.
I agree with every word of this post. No need for me to even say anything more.
