I say Gamboa hurts Rios bad. I've watched films of their bouts and it is just so plainly obvious that Rios is not the calibur of fighter that Gamboa is. Don't get me wrong here, Rios has very good skills but when compared to Gamboas skill Rios comes out looking rather ordinary.

Heres the key to this fight. Rios likes to throw long shots, long punches. On the inside or the outside Rios throws wide hooks to the body and head. With Gamboa everything is coming short and it's coming fast. With Gamboas speed, natural talent and wealth of experience in the amatuers he will easily step inside of Rios' long punches to score the ko...........Rockin'

Gamboa's tated canvas from featherfisted fighters. Rios is bigger, has world class stamina, workrate & genuine power. I don't see Gamboa dancing away for 12 rounds. He gets caught & goes to bed. I wish I could be ringside. I'd have a blanket just waiting to toss to him.
Ive seen Gamboa taste canvas but that was mainl from his wildness and not having his feet in the proper place. If your feet arent where they are supposed to be you can end up knocking yourself down from a punch you throw and miss.
      On another note...Vamos Rios!
I am a fan of both fightersso it makes it more difficult for me to choose but I gotta go with my raza on this one.

I haven't changed my prediction. Gamboa is going to dominate this fight, even with the extra weight. Rios will lose.

I think Gamboa is gonna dominate the Lightweight division. Best skilled fighter at that weight. Lkinares is probably 2nd.

Bam Bam Reminds me of a Mini Me Margarito.

Bam Bam Reminds me of a Mini Me Margarito. That being said all chin, good aggression, good power, no defense. Aka... A walking heavy bag lol Gamboa has too much skill for this cat to overcome. I believe gamboa circles around Rios like Cotto did against Margarito its an easy night out for the cuban star.
