Rios hasn't fought anyone like Gamboa before. Yuri has amazing speed and athleticism. Gamboa has enough pop to get Brandon's attention, and he's an excellent ring general. And, of course, there are the skills....

I think Gamboa's conditioning will be key. Yuri must be able to move just as well in the 12th round as in the 1st. He cannot afford to stand in front of Rios for any length of time. Brandon fights like "The Terminator," constantly moving forward and throwing punches. I don't think Gamboa can stop him. The goal for Yuri will be to not get caught with anything significant for twelve rounds. That's a long time to avoid getting rocked.

Gamboa's chances in this fight are slightly less than fifty percent, in my opinion. But I'm pulling for "El Ciclon." If he manages to pull this one off, Yuri deserves to be top-ten P4P and a real star.

    War GAMBOA!
    . Fair and realistic.

Rios truly is like the terminator, just keeps coming and moving forward, its pretty insane. About as prototypical a Mexican fighter as youll find.

Can't wait for this fight. Gamboa has it tough, facing a come forward terminator who's huge, has an iron chin and throws hundreds of punches in mass per fight.

    Boxing owns.

Rios needs to come in healthy and fit at weigh in...
Im a fan of both but I think Rios is too strong physically and mentally to get discouraged by Gamboas speed and hes gonna keep coming at him until he catches up to him and when that happens I think Gamboa might get discouraged himself. One of the reasons I like Rios is because even if he does lose he will take it like a man and be on to the next fight with no *****ing about it, it seems like he dont give a **** as long as he gets the chance to fight top guys and he always puts on a good show. You see how excited he gets when he gets asked about a possibe Maidana fight in the future? He actually wants to be in the fights most fans want to see, it doesnt seem like hes only in it for the money, he wants make a name for himself.

I think Gamboa will **** him up personally, he is a massive puncher and has speed Rios has never seen before.

I wish I could be ringside. I'd have a blanket just waiting to toss to him.
No one said Rios was. You can definitely make an argument for Gamboa fighting 'featherfisted' fighters yet Rios hasn't exactly beaten 'world beaters'.

There's no question Rios has all of the qualities you mention. However, let's admit, the man loves to eat red leather.

I see Gamboa not just 'dancing away' but picking apart Rios and eliminating any doubts on whether El Cilcon de Guantanamo is ready for 135+

This is so true. Most have this split down the middle.

This is Gamboa's coming out party...

Rios is going to have his moments in the middle rounds, but I think Gamboa's going to smash Rios' face, frustrate him, and possibly stop him late.

I personally think Gamboa well have an easier time going up in weight than Rios coming down. That's gonna make all the difference in the fight.
