If Floyd had of stepped up and beat Sergio there maybe an argument for Floyd taking Pac place. But Floyd isnt hungry enough at this point in time.

Like I have stated from the very start, I am simply stating the fact that Pacquaio only became P4P #1 because the previous P4P #1, Floyd Mayweather, had retired.

You're asking me who my P4P #1 was in 2010? That would be Pacquaio. Solely because when Mayweather retired he filled the vacancy and he had a phenomenal 2009.

Of course, The Ring Magazine are still going to have him ranked at #1 considering The Ring Magazine generally don't change their P4P Rankings unless the said fighter loses, and, as he hasn't officially lost, he's still #1 - This same logic applies to why Pacquaio would never have been P4P #1 had Mayweather not retired - And incase you need the obvious clarifying again, then obviously, presuming he didn't lose in that period.

I personally don't consider Manny Pacquaio the P4P #1 now because frankly, since 2009 he has had jokes of fights and the only legit fight he "won" the majority of people felt he lost.

With all that being said, again, the fact still remains that if Floyd Mayweather didn't retire for 2008, Manny Pacquaio to this very day would never been considered P4P #1.

That wouldn't matter if Mayweather fought a one armed midgit and won by Split Decision for his sole fight in 2008.

The funny thing is I have barely praised Mayweather in this thread.

I merely responded to another Poster's logic that "Being ranked higher on the P4P list makes you superior" and stated reasoning why it's flawed logic. Especially in regards to what he was referring to.

I stated on multiple occasions that the mythical P4P rankings I was referring to "Meant nothing" and "Does not determine who the greater fighter is"

Yet, I'm apparently nuthugging the guy?

The sensitivity is strong in this one. Such a sensitive fan base.
