Amazing how much power a little tweet has.

Yes it was kind of ignorant and some parts I really bothers me.
Remove the "all the hype is because his asian" and "black players do what he does every night and don't get praised for it".

No doubt in my mind that Jeremy Lin is blowing up world wide mostly because he is asian.
i'm sorry to say that but do anyone here honestly believe people that didn't pay attention to NBa, now magically would care about stats, him being under drafted etc etc.

I live and Sweden and were reading the papers as I always do on the subway.
Guess who I saw, Jeremy Lin.
They wrote nothing about his stats or anything.
Infact they never write about the NBA

My asian friends are talking about him......
They know nothing about the NBA, absolutely nothing about basketball
They don't know what a Point guard is yet they are exalted over Lin, posting videos of him on their facebook etc etc.

I'm really glad that Basketball is getting this media attention, I really am.
The Jeremy Lin hype is excellent for the sport but lets not pretend what is going on here.
Even though Jeremy Lin is a brilliant young player with tremendous talent and ATG potential, the attention revolves around him being Asian, especially outside of the US.

Tiger Woods Is a ATG in his sport but the attention around him was a lot due to him being black.
Something that is rare in highlvl golf
