With that said, floyd is a promoter, and damn good at it. He may be racist, but he knows what he is doing. He makes 10 fold, maybe a hundred fold whatever chump change dana passes off to his fighters.

Yes it was kind of ignorant and some parts I really bothers me.
Remove the "all the hype is because his asian" and "black players do what he does every night and don't get praised for it".

No doubt in my mind that Jeremy Lin is blowing up world wide mostly because he is asian.
i'm sorry to say that but do anyone here honestly believe people that didn't pay attention to NBa, now magically would care about stats, him being under drafted etc etc.

I live and Sweden and were reading the papers as I always do on the subway.
Guess who I saw, Jeremy Lin.
They wrote nothing about his stats or anything.
Infact they never write about the NBA

My asian friends are talking about him......
They know nothing about the NBA, absolutely nothing about basketball
They don't know what a Point guard is yet they are exalted over Lin, posting videos of him on their facebook etc etc.

I'm really glad that Basketball is getting this media attention, I really am.
The Jeremy Lin hype is excellent for the sport but lets not pretend what is going on here.
Even though Jeremy Lin is a brilliant young player with tremendous talent and ATG potential, the attention revolves around him being Asian, especially outside of the US.

Tiger Woods Is a ATG in his sport but the attention around him was a lot due to him being black.

racism: a belief that race is the primary determinant of human traits and capacities and that racial differences produce an inherent superiority of a particular race.

Floyd's little tweet doesn't make him a racist and there is some truth to his tweet. What Lin is doing is amazing but If Lin was black he would NOT be getting all this media hype plain and simple. It's crazy how Floyd gets people so bent out of shape. Whats more crazy is the people that scream Floyd is an idiot, yet that idiot has somehow managed to become one of the best boxers of all time that is setting the blueprint for boxers to make big time money without a promoter.

not that i agree with floyd, but lin is nowhere near as good as any of those guys. hes more comparable to a guy like steven curry or even russell westbrook or rajon rondo
