I think people in this thread are underestimating the power of religion. Coming from a guy whos father turned extremely religious in his later years, once they get hooked, and get that feeling that what they're doing is above all else because its god-related....its pretty much a done deal convincing them otherwise.

WHats wrong is there was a public announcement made. WHen one makes the PRIVATE decision to move closer to god, it should be private, not accompanied by a press release.
